The Global Emergency Medical Registry – GEMR (formerly AREMT) began credentialing Pre-Hospital Emergency Services Providers internationally in 2004. Given the changes to EMS credentialing and the widespread need for independent competency measurement, the Global Emergency Medical Registry is proud to unveil a new name with it’s corresponding mission.

The Global Emergency Medical Registry (GEMR) complies with ISO/IEC 17024 and maintains a medical Advisory Board of international experts and stakeholders that follow the most current recommendations of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and numerous other benchmarking organizations throughout the world.

The Global Emergency Medical Registry’s affiliation with the Association of Accredited Certification Bodies underscores the importance of adherence to standardized process and best practices for certifying its’ Emergency Medical Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics, and Advanced Practice Paramedics, and to have their training and skills deemed competent to perform quality patient care.
