Code of Conduct

Member Code of Conduct:

Introduction

The aims of the AACB include the desire to be accepted and respected as the voice of accredited certification bodies in the region, and in the process, establish coalitions with parties of interest in order to maximise our impact for the benefit of member companies and the community in general. In order to support the attainment of these goals, the AACB has developed the following Code of Conduct (CoC) to provide members with necessary guidance on specific behaviours that are required (or prohibited) as a condition of ongoing membership.

This CoC is not intended as a complete list covering all possibilities and so therefore should be used together with common sense and sound judgment.

Acceptance of the current version of the Code of Conduct is mandatory for all members, and failure to abide by the Code of Conduct will serve as the basis for disciplinary action imposed by the AACB Executive (or Ethics??) Committee, up to and including suspension or termination of membership.

AACB member Code of Conduct

1. When representing the AACB, the AACB member shall act honestly, in good faith and in the best interests of the AACB, not engaging in conduct likely to bring discredit upon the AACB.

2. The AACB member shall use due care and diligence in fulfilling the functions of AACB membership and when exercising the powers attached to its membership.

3. The AACB member will not engage in bullying or other forms of discrimination or harassment, including sexual harassment.

The AACB Ethics Committee will promptly investigate any alleged non- compliance with this Code.
