The Association of Accredited Certification Bodies (AACB) is a member-based non-profit organisation committed to:
- Proactively promoting the benefits of Accredited Certification to the broader community;
- Increasing awareness of ethical certification amongst members’ peers;
- Openly sharing information amongst full member bodies for the collective advancement of all parties; and
- Establishing relationships with global peers, then to work in collaboration with these bodies to provide a strong and unified voice for coordinated change in the industry.
In achieving these objectives, the AACB hope to provide the marketplace with improved confidence in Accredited Certification as a product that adds value to businesses, which in turn provides members with improved business prospects through increased demand and growth opportunities.
All General Members should expect timely and transparent communication, provided without favour or bias and to be treated as equals, having equal rights in terms of availability of information, voting and/or opinion. Should for whatever reason this not be the case, the members’ representative is encouraged to voice their concerns to the AACB Secretary, or in the event that the concern relates to the Secretary, directly to the Chairperson.
The AACB also has an Associate Member grade available to any affiliated or interested body (association, industry body, interested person) that supports the Objects of the Association. The AACB’s commitment to these organisations can be found in the “Service Charter for Associate Members” document.
